YHI continues to be is a positive turning point for children and teens that came out of the shadows of our community as “damaged, lost, or forgotten.” Because of the passion, dedication, and purpose of our professional staff, volunteers, and leadership:

• A child or teen has been given a safe and caring foster home until they can be reunited with a healthier and stronger birth family or adopted.
• A vulnerable family has been given the tools and resources to heal and continue to grow stronger and healthier.
• A troubled teen has experienced a turning point and has been kept in school, out of gangs, and away from drugs.
• A baby, born to a former foster youth, has been given a Right Start with her loving parent.
• An 18-year-old former foster youth is now in college, preparing for a job, and has the path for building a promising future.
